Answer
Hi,

You haven't given that much information and so it's hard to advise.  However, it's always a cause for concern when a toddler loses language.  Have you spoken to your pediatrician?  Probably part of his tantrums are related to the frustration of not being able to express his wants and needs.  Some might also be from sensory overload.  It appears he has some sensory needs by the spinning etc.

Have you taken the MCHAT test?  If not you can find it here http://www.nlconcepts.com/autism-mchat.htm

I would also suggest reading this article called "How do you know if your child has autism?"  You can download it here http://www.nlconcepts.com/autism-howdoyouknow.htm

I'm not sure how early intervention works in the UK.  Make a list of all your concerns and make an appointment with your pediatrician.  Ask for guidance on the steps you need to take for getting your son evaluated.

I wish you the best of luck.
