Question
WE NEED HELP!! JOSH IS IN CAMELOT OF OKLAHOMA AND THEY SAY WE HAVE TO FIND A STATE THAT CAN HELP HIM. I AM HOPING THAT TEXAS HAS SOME ANSWERS, PLEASE HELP. THANK YOU, STEPHANIE COWAN.

Answer
Hi Stephanie,

Finding a good state for helping kids with autism is not easy task.  And the districts in each state is what really makes a difference.  The best thing you can do is to seriously consider the states that you would potentially move to.  Once you have that down, the best thing to do is talk to parents and the schools in the districts.

I would start by contacting the Autism Society of America.  They have chapters in each area.  If you search Autism Society of America and find the appropriate chapters, then you can get in touch with the people who live there.  They will be able to refer you to different organizations, resources and really help you when deciding where you could potentially settle.

I know it all seems overwhelming but take it step by step.  Little by little it will all fall into place.
I wish you the best of luck.
