Question
My son is a single parent of a 5 year old son who has been diagnosed with PDD and others. He is struggling financially. Is there anywhere he can find afterschool care and day care for summer that are able to provide the correct care. Also is there any way he can get help with housing? He lives in palm beach county, florida.

Answer
I am not that familiar with what agencies offer support for Autistic children in Florida. I suggest your son visit the school the boy will be attending when he is older and seek their help. They may offer specialized preschool programs for Autistic children. They can also tell your son who to contact in other agencies to get help. Many Autistic children benefit from ABA support. He is at an age where this is very important. You can also go on internet to find Autistic parent support groups in Florida. They can tell you more about where to seek help locally.

I wish you, your grandson, and your son the best,
