Autism/speech

Question
My 4y/o has been dx with aspergers, he also has speech dyspraxia.  I am not sure what the cause of his speech issue is as none of the specialist have offered an answer to this problem.  He did have multiple ear infections the first three years of his life and has had 4 sets of PE tubes.  That being said, he only receives ST twice/week for 30 min each time through his pre-school and I am currently working to get him on a special medicaid program to pay for ST and OT (My insurance does not provide coverage for these therapies unless it is due to a stroke or accident).  Do you have any suggestions of how I can work with him at home to help him articulate his words and learn to speak with others?  When he tries to have a "conversation" he speaks only in unintelligible language with an occasional word you might understand.

Answer
