Question
hi my 11 month old baby is starting or is howing signs of autism he does not sit up does not know how to play and does not like being around anybody i did not consider this before and they have just done a mri scan he is not like my other children one minute he can be very nice then the next very nasty please help i am at my wits end

Answer
If your baby is not sitting up or crawling or walking, there is more going on than autism. Usually children with autism have good and appropriate motor skills. I would most definitely take him to your doctor to see about getting him physical, speech and occupational therapy. I don't know what services you have in your area. But please start with the your doctor. Once you get some idea what is going on, write me back and I can help you with some other ideas and suggestions. But first you must find out how to get him evaluated by a team of professionals
