Question
Can you give me a typical profile of a student with HFA or Asperger's as per
WISC IV testing and Stanford Binet testing.  Also, could you direct me to
resources where I could find out more about typical cognitive profiles for this
population.

Answer
Hi Nancy;

Typically, nonverbal is stronger than verbal. Expressive language stronger than receptive language. Working memory is often delayed.

I don't have any specific sources of information about cognitive profiles, but from experience I can tell you that most individuals have a concrete thinking style, however, this varies also. The more flexible the cognitive style, the easier the adjustment to change, less behavioral outbursts, and the better outcome altogether.

I would be happy to discuss further if you like.

Kind regards,
James
