Question
I have a 3 year old student (boy) who hung his pet dog from a gym set, he doesn't understand the consequences of his actions or what danger is, help please!

Answer
Hi Gwen;

You are right, students on the autism spectrum do not understand social sequences and their consequences as well as physical sequences and their consequences. Again, the intervention of choice is Carol Gray's "social stories" using pictures to discuss social outcomes and what they mean.

Kind Regards,
