Autism/rating scales

Question
Is it possible for me to see the rating scales that are used for assessment of Autism/Aspergers - are these freely available?

Answer
Hi E.G.;

Formal behavior rating scales are available for purchase from the test publisher, however, the publisher requires that you present to them your educational qualifications before they will sell them to you. Ususally, but not always, these type of scales are limited to psychologists. The reason for this is that ratings scales are just a piece of the whole picture. Sometimes what may appear on a rating scale to be Asperger's Syndrome, will prove through more extensive testing to be a nonverbal learning disability.

Kind Regards,
Jim
