Question
I drive a 1992 Honada Civic, and am having to possibly replace the A/C compressor for a third time.  The other day, I lost all of the freon while driving.  My questions are these: Could something else have happened to lose all of the freon at once, and will this ruin the compressor I have.  Also, if I have to replace the compressor again, what should I have the mechanic do to ensure the compressor does not go bad again.

Answer
Hi Paul

Check the condenser fan motor make sure it works properly.  When you change your compressor you should have replaced your drier and expansion valve.  Now that you are going to your third comp.  You must flush out all that excess oil you have in the system.
