Question
My A/C compressor clutch was not coming on so i started checking fuses, relays then a diode all checked out fine but the clutch does not engage. Then i noticed when i turn the switch on in my truck to defrost or max ac or anything the bolt on top of my alternator gets cherry red hot. Is the bolt where the positive cable hooks up and goes to the solenoid i think. Any ideas?

Answer
Hi Clay

My field is air conditioning you need to take it to an electrical shop.  This could be dangerous.  As to your compressor not turning on check if you have refrigerant in system first.  The cycling switch will mot turn your compressor unless there is at least 50 psi.  Good luck take it in for  the electrical first.
