Question
I first took the truck in because the ac would only blow cold for 10 to 15 min.. Mechanic said it was my compressor clutch. I got a new pump w/clutch and, thought I would look over the old one real good before I changed it out. The voltage was all good and the clutch turned like it was supposed to except it is intermittent. When I turned the truck off then back on it didn't turn. Anyway i was told it may be a thermostat for the pump but nobody could tell me where it is or how to check it.

Answer
Hi Marissa

ON the dodge  ram you do not have a thermostat, you have a cycling switch.  The Switch is located near the fire wall at the accumulator ( Black looking bottle with hoses).  Check the power see if it is going thru normally.  These vehicles have a lot of problems with relays. let me know
