Question
The airconditioner compressor to my 1998 Honda Civic EX has broke and I am trying to replace it myself but have been unsucessful. I need to know the best way to access the pulley system, and adjust the tension so I can get the new belt on. Please HELP!!

Answer
Hi Selina

The belt is not easy to replace but it can be done.  Your pulley has a 14mm nut in front of it (must loosen to adjust).  There is a 10mm bolt from the top between the timing belt cover and the power steering pulley.  There is a motor  mount on the bottom that needs to be loosened to get belt through.  and you must remove the power steering belt to get the ac belt to the back pulley.
