Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair/Jeep AC

Question
I have a 2006 Jeep Commander limited 5.7L. I purchased it brand new and after the first year I had to go to the dealer each summer because the AC wasn't blowing cold on the front passenger side, just the driver's side. They would tell me thata valve wasn't opening up on the passenger side to allow the cold air and they would fix it. I further told them that when driving over 30 MPH the air conditioning would have a loud hissing sound. Now after 3 years and no more warranty, the air conditioning doesn't work at all. The fan blows but there is no cold air at all. What do you think it can be ??   Thank you for your time.

Answer
Hi David

You need to have it checked out.  On the Jeeps the problem you probably had was that it was low on refrigerant.  They would keep adding and you would have cold  air.  We are seeing a lot of Jeeps with condensers leaking and some evaporators.  Not both one or the other.  Have it checked out and let me know.
