Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair/1999 BMW 323i AC problem

Question
I recently had my AC compressor and dryer replaced, system flushed, filled, and repressurized.  That was about 2 months ago and it blew cold air until recently it has started to warm up.  I believe that it is a leak in the system and I have asked some people at Advance Auto who agree.  When one of the guys at advance looked under the hood, he unscrewed the cap on what he called the "high side" and said he saw bubbling.  Then he recommended that I replace a small metal part that the cap screwed onto.  I know very little about this, so please let me know if you think he is correct.  If so, what is the name of the part I should buy?  Thanks!

Answer
Hi Jesse

You are talking about the high side service port.  You can go by any dealer and order one.It is not difficult to replace and if you saw it bubbling then it is broken.  Have a new  pieces installed and vacuum the system.  If your system holds the vacuum for at least 15 minutes after you turn the pump off and close your gauges then you should be good.  If the vacuum is broken then check your system for leaks.
