QUESTION: First-no Heat/Only blowing from Defrost,Hoses to heater core cold,Just got van, have not realy had time to get into it.I was reading yesterday about vaccum problem? Got any Ideas? Thanks Phil

Answer
If your air is only coming out of the defrost even if you move your control.  Then you need to go to the engine compartment.  Look for the evaporator.  You will find the accumulator attached to it (aluminum bottle).  Between the accumulator and the engine you will find three hoses attached to the check valve (small circular piece with three hose attachments).  Follow the one that leads back to the engine under the air filter hose.  This line is connected to the engine block pull slightly on it and you can follow it the the connection.  This hose breaks quite a bit because of the heat.  You can replace it with regular vacuum hose.  Let me know.
