Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair/No vent air when accelerating

Question
I have a 1995 Dodge Ram 1500 6 cylinder and I think I have a vacuum issue. Whenever I accelerate all the vent air (AC or outside air) stops coming into the cab until I stop accelerating. I was wondering where the best/most likely places to check for leaks would be, assuming this is the result of a vacuum leak.

Thanks....

Answer
HI Randy

It is a vacuum leak.  Follow the lines in the engine compartment to where they meet at the fire wall on the drivers side.  They tend to crack there.  If the hoses are OK then check under the steering column you will find a check valve.  Check if it is working properly.   Let me know and I'll try and help.
