Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair/2000 Dodge Ram 1500 air conditioner problem

Question
I have had this truck for about 9 months.  Ever since I have had it there has been a problem with the a/c.  The air blows strong and nice and colod and has even been recently recharged.  The problem I am experiencing is that when I am accelerating the air conditioner stops blowing out of the vents.  It still makes noise and could possibly be blowing from the defrost.  I have found out about TSP 08-22-97, but my cruise control still works perfectly.  I have absolutely no idea what could possibly be wrong with it.

Answer
Hi Michael

You will need to check the CHECK VALVE that controls the vacuum to the air doors.  Also check the line to make sure you have vacuum at the control.  If you have had to add refrigerant you probably have some type of leak.  This leak has nothing to do with the vacuum problem.
