Auto Airbag System Repair/Battery CCA

Question
Thank you sooo much for all of your help. I am planning on replacing the device myself. I am still trying to figure out what caused it to fail in the first place. Would installing a battery 124R with 670 cold cranking amps instead of a battery 121R with 600 cold cranking amps cause problems with my electrical system like my radio and airbag module?

Answer
Hi Linda:
I can say with 99% certainty that replacing the battery (as you described) will not cause a problem with the airbag.  It will however, cause you to lose the memory in the radio, thus the radio stations will all need to be reset.  If it has a theft protected radio, the code will need to be reentered before the radio will even turn on.
You should be fine doing the work yourself

Take care
Doug
