Auto Electronics/Ford PATS system/alarm

Question
Hi, I let my car battery go completely dead in my 2001 Ford Taurus SE & even when I hook up jumpers cable to another car (to jump start), the Taurus won't start.(It turns over but will not catch). My neighbor used to put in car alarms years ago & he said they had to deal with the Ford PATS(Passive Anti-Theft System, and other systems)all the time when putting in after-market alarms or remote starters.  He had to go back east for a while & now so I don't know how to get past the PATS or who to talk to about PATS, which I think is stopping the car from starting.  I don't have the money to have the car towed to a Ford dealership, much less the money needed to reprogram the PATS system & the PATS enabled keys.  Can you suggest anything?  Is there a way to get my car to start without spending lots of money I don't have?
