Auto Electronics/Tachometer(RPM) wiring

Question
Sir,

I changed my Toyota KR42 (2002)gasoline EFI system van meter board to a Toyota Noah meter board which has a RPM meter.
I took it to an auto technician to wire it so that it indicates the engine revolution speed.
He said this meter has two inputs, and one comes from the ignitor. But he does not know from where the other input to be wired.
Could you please advise me from which point the other wire comes? If possible please draw me a little sketch.

Thank you.
