How difficult is it to simply replace the glass on a 2007 Ford Explorer limited drivers side mirror--no heat, as opposed to replacing the entire mirror unit?

               In actual labor time they are about the same 1/2 HR Tops!

The mirror unit just bolts on, and the replacement mirror gets glued onto the receiving plate after old mirror is completely removed or sometimes can be glued on top of old one depending on clearance.  

The difficult part is parting with the 200+ dollars for the Unit or getting just the mirror glass for 40- and risking he chance of getting that all too painful glass splinter by not wearing gloves! LOL :)


If you want to do it yourself we can send you the mirror and you can have a shop install it for you.
