Auto Glass - power windows

Expert: Ben Menard - 11/1/2009

Question
My passenger window will go down but not up. I replaced the motor with the window in the up position. I was able to roll it down and it still wont go up. I plugged the old motor in and it runs when I push the button down and nothing when I push the button up. I tried replacing the relay and still nothing. I am at a dead end. Please help me. I even checked the fuse and it is good.

Answer
Hi Dan,

You probably have a bad switch.  Power is coming out of the switch on the "down" wire, but not on the "up" wire.

Send me back a follow up with the make, model, and year of your vehicle and I will give you more information.
