Question
I have a 1989 GMC sierra 2500 pickup. The door glass mount rails [                         also called the sash or glass grips] have rusted out and the windows are now inoperable. The dealer only sells this part with the window. Is this part available anywhere.  Thanks, Mark

Answer
Hi Mark

The Door glass channel guides are the vertical metal channels with rubber felt that bolt into the door on the right and left. Both are used to keep the door glass aligned and are sold by the side. The Channel that is attached to the bottom of the glass that is connected to the regulator rollers makes the window go up and down and is sold with the door glass and belive me, you want it that way!!! The Door glass with the channel bonded used is 25-55 bucks, well worth not having to bond it yourself. The side channels used are about 10-20 a side. All of your parts should still be available from the Junk Yard. Hope this Helps! Stay Safe! Derek :)
