Auto Glass/2000 Accord Side View Mirror Replacement

Question
My Daughter brought home the car with the passenger right side mirror glass missing on our accord. I bought replacement glass but it looks like it needs a frame or other mounting solution. There is a small bracket in the middle where it looks like the mirror should attach and two small white balls which look like the electric adjustments servos. What part do I need to mount the mirror?

Answer
HI RICK,

In Defense of your Daughter,  This is Very Common.

The Mirror on your Honda Accord is Arguably the most stolen side view mirror in the USA next to the Ford F class truck and the Toyota Corolla. It pulls off easy but is a little harder to snap back in because of the electric servos that must be aligned perfectly before snapping back in.  The mirror alone is of no use without the Mirror Mounting Plate so you will have to find one on Ebay or at the Junk Yard.  Ask the man at the counter if he has any Broken sideview mirrors and use the Mounting Plate off of it and glue your mirror onto it or buy the whole mirror Assembly used and just bolt it on.
