Auto Glass/Power Window malfunction

Question
As I drove my window started to slide down into the door way.
What can cause this? I have tried to raise it back up with the
switch however I only hear the motor moving and not the
window. I read somewhere that it was "off track"? I was
wondering how much should I expect to pay for this repair?

Answer
Hello Markwayne,

Your window is not "off track."  The cable style window regulator is broken.  You can view an example of what a cable style regulator looks like and how it is replaced on You Tube:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Rm5l1yiQmE

If you need more information send me a follow question telling me the year, make and model of your vehicle and I will give you more specific details.
