on the door glass there is two metal brackets attached to the bottom of the window is there anyway to remove them, it appears to be glue on with an adhesive

Hello Roy,

I routinely remove damaged metal window brackets from door glass on Chrysler sedans.  First, I remove the glass from the door, lay the glass on a padded surface and then separate the bracket from the glass using a sharpened blade on a heavy duty paint scrapper.  It is a bit of work, but it gets the job done without injuring me or the glass.

My question is "why do you need to remove the bracket?"
