| Comment | Thank you very much for your advice. I will keep you updated on the situation, so you will have info for others too. Anyhow, I decided to give the dealership one more chance. I was gonna call and see if they were going to do anything different than just fixing it the way they have been doing it. So I called, and remarkably the service manager answered in the service department. I told him it still wasn't fixed. He said, okay, that's just not gonna work, this has happened before. He said "I know you don't want to buy another window, I'm gonna see if I can find a used one." I asked him how much that would cost and he said not to worry about that. He got my number and said he would call back. Well he did about 30 minutes later, and wanted to know when I could bring it in. He went on to tell me that most of the time, gluing it back in works, and he was just trying to save us some money. But I really never understood why exactly a whole new window needed to be put it. So we will see. I will let you know. | ||
I am interested in answering questions regarding power window problems. Most typically those inquires will involve problems with window regulators, window motors, and window switches.
I have been repairing window problems full time for over seven years. I have repaired most all types of problems in the majority of domestic and import vehicles newer than 1988.
