I broke the mirror on the passenger side of my 2008 Tahoe today.  The mirror is still in one piece but needs to be replaced.  Can you tell me where the best place would be to get the mirror and also advise how to replace it?

Hi Patti,

There don't' appear to be many options available for a replacement side view mirror on a vehicle this new.  You can get one from the dealer, but it will be expensive.  "Carmirror.com" did not have a replacement mirror in its selection.  There are a few sellers on Ebay, but their product information was sketchy.  Automobile salvage yards in your area are probably part of a national network that lists what is available, so you may get lucky and find one that way.

I hesitate to give you any information about removing the door panel on your Tahoe because it is relatively new and it may be different than the older Tahoes with which I am familiar.  Installing the mirror is relatively simple for an experienced mechanic or glass shop. I think you can find one who will do the job at a reasonable price.
