Question
i installed new regulator but window stops about 1.5 to 2 inces from going all the way up

Answer
Hello Michael,

My immediate reaction is that the glass is not properly aligned in the rubber "run channel."  Look at the front edge of the glass in the area near the mirror and make sure the glass is sliding smoothly up the center of the channel.

If that is not the problem, send me a follow up question and be sure to tell me the make, the model, and the year of your vehicle.  Also, tell me in which door you replaced the regulator.
