Question
The driver side power window on my 2001 Ford F-250 goes down by itself every time the truck is started - any ideas?  All other windows function normally from master switch and individual locations.  As soon as the timer / relay for the driver side window goes off you can raise it again.

Answer
Hi Warren,

I have never seen this issue on any vehicle before.  I am not an expert when it comes to the wiring and electrical modules, so I don't have an immediate answer for you.

I am wondering if the same thing happens if you turn the ignition to "accessory" rather than starting the truck.  If so, I would suspect the switch has some sort of internal short that is triggered as soon as power is applied.  However, since you can't return electrical parts, I couldn't recommend replacing the switch until you have some one with more electrical expertise than me take a look at it.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
