Question
My 1994 Ford Taurus  drivers side window is stuck down.I took the door skin off and the buttons and wiring has good contact. There is a black box with a board inside and all connections seem good. maybe the boards bad. When i hit the down button it clicks but when i use it to go up its dead. what do you think? Thanks

Answer
Hi Tish,

The most common problem on this vintage of Taurus is a failed power window motor.  Check to see if you are getting 12V power on each of the two wires that plug into the motor.  One wire should have power when your press the down button.  The other should have power when you press the up button.  If you can read normal 12V power on those two wires, then a bad motor is the most likely cause of your problem.  If you don't have power at one or both of the motor connections, please get back to me with a follow up question.
