Question
I have a 2002 dodge stratus driver side rear window will only roll down,not up. With only the rear switch,drivers master switch does nothing at all.Already replaced motor and regulator same problem.Is this a switch problem or is a relay or other electrical component in system to blame?

Hi Jeremy,

I don't see too many problems with this vintage of Dodge sedan, but I think the most likely cause of your problem is a faulty master window switch.  It could be the single switch on the left door, but that is fairly rare.

You can purchase a new "aftermarket" master window switch for a reasonable price.  Dorman offers one for about $70 (part number 901-400).

Since you can't return electrical parts, you need to verify the problem before buying.  You will need a test light or voltage meter to check the output at:

1. the two wires that come out of the master window switch to the left rear door.

2. the same two wires where they come into the single switch on the left rear door.

3. the two wires that connect to the window motor.
