Auto Glass/f150 rear sliding window latch

Question
The rear sliding window latch on my F150 broke (the part attached to the glass).  I found a new latch online, but I'm not sure what type of adhesive to use to re-install the new latch.  The old latch adhesive almsot looks like a silicone type adhesive.  Any idea what type of adhesive I need to get?

Thanks

Answer
Hi Jim,

Depending on the the material the latch is made of Plastic or Metal ,

I would use a 2 part epoxy on the Metal Latch and a Urethane adhesive on the Plastic Latch.

Rear view Mirror glue is also an option with the Metal Latch and a trip to the Auto parts store you will be able to find all of these adhesives mentioned.
