Question
Hi, I have been having a continuous problem with my window.  I replace the motor, or the clicker and within a year it just starts up again so I can only imagine there's a different issue.  When I roll the window all the way down it sticks and won't roll back up until later, it randomly decides to.  It happened today and I noticed if I hold the clicker up I hear a periodic click every 20 seconds like it wants to do something and can't.  The first few times I immediately assumed it was the clicker or the motor and took it straight to the shop.  But now I've noticed if I wait, eventually it will go back up.  And also that I have absolutely no problems if I don't roll it all the way down.  I try not to roll it all the way down but sometimes it does too quick without me thinking about it, as it has that automatic feature.

help!  haha thanks!  :)

Answer
Hello Sheri,

The symptoms you describe are very typical of a faulty window motor.  I am wondering about the details surrounding the window motor that was installed about a year ago.  Please send me a follow up question giving me more specific information: the date of the work, who performed the job, and what was the brand or source of the replacement motor.  I will be happy to give you my opinion when I have that information.
