Question
the drivers window just quit on my sub and i was wondering what made the express window work and where it is located, when i used to push the button to down you would hear a relay click under the dash, what is it and where is it.

Answer
Hi Doug,

The "auto down" feature is built into the switch.  The window switch on this vintage of Suburban almost never fails, but it is always a good idea to confirm that the switch is working properly before you do anything else.  You should get 12V on the dark brown wire when you press "down" and 12V on the dark blue wire when you press "up".

The most common driver window problem on this vintage of Suburban is a faulty window motor.  Replacing this window motor is not an easy job.  I recommend you find someone with extensive power window experience to handle this one for you.

Let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.
