Question
I replaced the lock & window master switch for my 1997 Paseo; no power to either one.  Checked all fuses, all good.  Is there a relay I should check.  The old one broke and got stuck, seemed like the passenger switch was fighting the master switch.  Can you help?  THNX Tom Q.

Answer
Hi Tom,

I have not seen very many problems with the Paseo so I don't a history of what is typically wrong to rely on.  However, based on what you have told me so far, I suspect that your problem is a broken wire between the driver door and the body of the car.  If you look at the area between the hinges of the driver door you will notice a black rubber "boot."  All the wires for your power windows and locks run through that boot.  After many hundreds of openings and closings of the driver door, one or more of the wires have probably flexed to the point of breaking and resulted in no power going to the master window / lock switch.

If you still want me to look for a relay, it will have to wait until Monday when I can get access to a wiring diagram for the window circuit.
