Question
I can bring all windows up and down from driver master control but rear driver only goes down from its control and rear passenger doesn't go up or down from its control. I have three kids that like pushing buttons even when locked which makes me think the switch is now bad but on both sides at same time?

Answer
Hi Sean,

I haven't seen a similar problem on this vintage of Suburban before, so I don't have a specific suggestion of what is the most likely problem.

It is possible that both the single window switches on the rear doors have partially failed.  However, there could also be a problem in the "window control module" or even a broken wire somewhere in the circuits.

Unfortunately, these window wiring circuits are getting more and more complicated all the time.  If it is really a problem you want to solve, I suggest you find a "automotive electronics" shop that routinely deals with vehicle electrical issues.  Their hourly rates won't be any more expensive than a dealer, and they'll have a better chance of finding the exact problem less expensively than a general mechanic who is trying to uncover the cause for the first time.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
