Question
I have power windows in my 2002 kia optima and the driver side window won't go up or down. it moves a little bit, thats it. What has gone wrong here?

Answer
Hi Chris,

Could be almost anything! First try to have someone tap down on the switch as you help the window go down.

Put hands on both the inside and outside of the glass at the same time and see if it goes down or even feels like it wants to go down

If the window rolls down only part of the way and will not roll up, Tap the switch and pull up the window in the same manor as before.

Listen for any sounds you may hear and let me know what happens.

Grinding sounds:    Indicate a Bad Cable/Regulator.

No Sound:            Could mean a bad or faulty Master switch or window Motor.

Clunking sounds:      Could mean the glass is off the Regulator

                                                        Hope This Helps! Derek =D
