Auto Glass/98 Windstar Window to regulator attachment

Question
How does the driver's window attach to the regulator in a 1998 Ford Windstar?  It came loose and all I can see is a bead of silicone on each side of the window where it attaches to the regulator?  Is is just glued on?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Answer
Hi Ray,

This window is normally RIVETED to the regulator.  If yours has a bead of silicone between the glass and the regulator lift channel, then someone has probably made a poor attempt to bypass the normal installation procedure.

I suggest you find a local glass shop that is rated A+ with your local Better Business Bureau and talk to them about properly installing the glass.

Feel free to send a follow up question if you need more information.
