Question
I got in my car yesterday and started it. Immediately the driver side glass fell halfway down. I tried to raise it no luck. I tried to lower it and the glass fell all the way down. I believe it is off the track. I wanted to know what tools would be needed and how to fix this problem.

Answer
Hello LuAnn,

You have a broken "cable style window regulator."  The window is not "off track."  If you would like to see what the part looks like, go to http://www.dormanproducts.com and type in 741-630 in the search field titled "Key Word-Phrase or Part Number."

Replacing the regulator requires a metric socket set and a size T40 torx bit or torx driver.

Because each replacement is unique and somewhat detailed, I don't give step-by-step instructions.

Feel free to send a follow up question if you need any additional informtion.
