Question
if you get in to a accident and you are still making payments on the car and you file a claim do you have to get the vehicle repaired

Hi Stacy,
As long as there is a lender on the car, any check for damages will be made jointly to you and the lender or jointly to you and the repair shop.
It is necessary to have the car repaired unless your lender is willing to release you from that responsibility.
