Question
I tried to avoid hitting a deer and rolled my vehicle in a ditch. I had my seat belt on but did hit my head on the drivers side door. I went to the emergency room have swelling in my neck and back and pain. Since it was a one car accident can I only receive my medical bills paid or can I claim anything for time off work etc.
Thanks,

Answer
Hi Ann,
I'm sorry to learn of your unfortunate incident with the deer.
If you carry Auto Medical Payment coverage under your insurance policy, your company will pay your medical bills up to the limits of coverage, otherwise, you will need to turn to your health insurance for coverage.
Since there was no 3rd party responsible for the accident, I see no way that you will be able to recover lost wages except by using your sick leave or vacation time.
I hope this has been of help.
Your feedback by rating my answer will be appreciated.
Sincerely,
Bennie
