Question
Q. I was driving on i-40 hit a patch of ice and slipped off the freeway, hit a sign post. My brother was also in the car, hes the principle insured I am added as a driver on his car. So should he report the accident, or should I, does it have any effect as to who we say was driving, his insurance record being older than mine.

Answer
Hello Syed,

Insurance follows the car. The insurance company of the car will cover the loss regardless of who was driving (unless the driver is excluded or there is no coverage).
