Question
my 18 year old son hit a guy in my truck and is not on my insurance what is going to happen

Answer
Hi Kim

Well, it depends.

You need to look at your policy and see what is included and what is excluded. If he is not listed on the policy, is he excluded. Or the policy restricts coverage to only the people listed. It is very hard to tell.

Most auto policy have an omnibus clause. This is a clause that covers everyone "using the vehicle" as long as they have permission and that they are not excluded. It is probable that this clause in in your policy, in which case, there would be coverage. Again, this is completely dependent on the auto policy.
