Auto Insurance Claims/Loss wages

Question
Is my lawyer entitled to a percentage of my loss wages?  I I receive a check from my insurance company for loss wages do I give my attorney 33%. I live in New York.

Answer
Donna, Hi

It depends on the fee agreement with your lawyer. If you both agree that he would collect on your wages and that this is part of job, then it is very probable that he would be owed this money.

You can ask her if she can send you a copy of your fee agreement or schedule and see what you to give her.

Good Luck,
