Auto Insurance Claims/Liability

Question
My sisters maid came to her with a bill for $600 claiming the lumpy, bumpy country driveway of my sister caused $600 in damage to her bumper. The maid has been working at the house every Saturday for 5 years. The driveway has been the same. When this supposedly occurred she did not come and say anything. I say we owe her nothing. I gave her an example as such...If I pulled a u turn into a driveway say if I was lost or something and I damaged my car on this strangers driveway I would not go back to the strangers house and ask them to fix their driveway and my car. She does not get it. Who is responsible for her car?

Answer
Hi Janet,
Your sister has no liability for the alleged damages that her maid sustained.
If she actually damaged her car while driving in your sisters driveway, then it was probably due to a lack of driving skills.

I hope this information is helpful.
