Auto Insurance Claims/auto accident while working for employer

Question
My personal car was being used for my employer and got hit by a deer. My insurance does not cover damage. Can my employer be forced to pay?

Answer
Kevin,

It really depends on all the arrangements that you have with your employer. Coverage like this will be a very "factual" thing. It depends on how your employer - employee agreement was drafted. It also depends on if you are being paid for gas/mileage.

Your state law also place a huge part on this.

Good Luck,
Anne
