Question today we were hit by a car that was stolen . car was recovered and we have the owners info. suspects were not caught but, we got the info on the second car that they fled in . we don't have uninsured motorist on our insurance will my insurance cover the damages ??? we live in Texas thanks in advance
Answer Hi Jose,
If you have collision coverage your insurance company will pay the damage minus your deductible. If you do not have collision coverage then there will be no coverage. The owner of the car that was stolen is not responsible for paying for your damage.
You may want to call your state attorney's office to see if your state has a crime victims fund that you could receive compemsation from.
I hope this helps
