Question
i am a wholesale dealer and i bought a vehicle at a manheim auction that was announced clean title was not announced as an insurance vehicle ,when i did a car fax on the vehicle later found that the vehicle had been declared a total loss .my question is can an insurance company sell a vehicle that they have declared and reported a total loss as a clean title vehicle
the tile is from michigan and the vehicle was sold in missourri

Answer
Hi Norman,

As far as I know there should always be an announcement of a salvage or rebuilt title if the auction is aware of it. However, as the purchaser of the vehicle, finding out that the vehicle was sold to you in a condition that was other than presented, you have the right to arbitration with Manheim. You should contact them and explain the situation and find out the procedures for filing for arbitration.

I hope this helps
