Auto Insurance Claims/Auto Accident

Question
October 13th, 2009, I was driving my mom's car while she was in it when a driver sideswipped us on the freeway. The car was totaled and was worth $400 (another story) and I went to the ER but my mom didn't. We both went to a Chiropractor and has sent finished treatment. My Chiropractor bill is over $1800 and my ER bill is just $130 total. It wasn't my car, but I was hit on the driver side. How much should I settle for individually? I don't want to settle for less than I deserve. What is the ball park range for the amount that I should settle for? Thanks!

Answer
Hello Natalie,

I am sorry to hear about you and your mother's accident.

Well, it's hard to give you a range without looking at the exact medical reports. What were your injuries? are you completely recovered?

These inquiries would make a difference.

You have a right to ask for pain and suffering and several other damages. Pleas see:

Pain and suffering is hard to evaluate without more information about your actual injury. A good resource for you to look at and come to a fair value and make sure you do not settle for less is:

I hope this helps,

Good Luck
